Layer Seven Security

The Cybersecurity Extension for SAP (CES) from Layer Seven Security provides 80% more coverage than SAP CVA for custom ABAP programs. CVA includes approximately 75 patterns for ABAP code. In comparison, CES provides more than 135 checks for detecting vulnerabilities in ABAP developments.

SAP CVA provides limited coverage for UI5 applications. CES supports complete vulnerability scanning for SAP UI5 code. It performs 375+ test cases to detect security vulnerabilities in custom Fiori applications.

CES integrates with both the ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and Transport Management System (TMS). Security checks are applied using variants in ATC. Exemptions can be applied using the ATC. Transport requests with security errors are automatically scanned and blocked.

CES supports the analysis of custom programs to identify external calls including requests to function modules, authorizations, transactions, tables, and other programs. This can be used to determine whether objects are executing dangerous functions in SAP systems.

CES is an integrated solution that provides coverage for code vulnerability scanning as well as system vulnerability management, patch management, compliance monitoring, and threat detection. CES licensing is a fraction of the cost of SAP CVA.
